Thanks, but this doesn't apply to my TV which is a KDL-43W809C.

It doesn't have the same buttons on the TV and whichever combination of buttons I try, it doesn't perform a data reset.

Can you let me know how a factory data reset can be done on a KDL-43W809C?

Thanks

I have a one-year old KDL-43W809C. It was worked fine since I bought it.

It would appear to have automatically downloaded new software and now starts us with various error messages - usually particular apps not working. I cannot access any menu or any other functions. I have tried powering off, but still the same messages appear when I restart

I have tried downloading the latest software on to a flash drive and inserted this in the tv but it makes no difference.

I can't do a factory reset because I can't access the menu.

Any suggestions?

Hi again,

We've just heard back from the Support Team, and they've advised that the best option would be to perform a Forced Data Reset. You can find all the information needed to perform this here:

http://sony-eur-eu-en-web--eur.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/134624

Please let us know if you need any further hellp.

Thanks,
