KD-55A1 delayed response from remote control

Since buying the KD-55A1 I have had issues with pressing a button on the remote and the command being actioned by the TV. With other TV's/Owned I have owned the response time is instant but with the KD-55A1 there is at least a half a second delay and can be more depending on what mood the TV is in. I'm really not happy about this and considering returning the TV, Is this norming behaviour?

I can only tell you that is running the (heavy) Android TV using the same weak SoC you find in the cheapest Bravia with Android 7.0 (like my XD80). Personally just to change the volume is a pain. Going into the settings when watching a video can take even 10 seconds. I'm afraid you've got the picture.
