Black Horizontal Lines

I have just purchased a new Sony BRAVIA KD65ZD9. It has horizontal black lines that run across the whole width of the screen, from top to bottom about 5mm apart. I have tried all HDMI Inputs with different devices and with the TV Inputs. Even the built in apps and menus have lines all over them. Anyone any idea if there is a simple fix for this?

Are the lines present on standard off air Freeview transmissions ?

Tbh it doesn't sound promising for a new set out of its box. The fact menus also have the lines suggests a hardware defect somewhere.

I would contact the retailer and ask for a replacement.

I just got the baby ZD9 (XE93) today and all I see are lines up and across when shots are panning. Very bad. 😞

This is what I get on £3,000.00 Sony TV out of the box 😞

Spoken to the supplier as suggested and they will replace it when they get them back in stock.

Actually after a powering off and on the lines are away! The TV is amazing!

I would suggest that your posts help others, and if there is a possible problem then they add evidence to the fact.
