USB flash drive not showing contents

I have a problem with a Sandisk Cruzer 64GB flash drive not being recognised on my Sony Bravia KD-55XE8596. I am a Mac user and have files on the drive I thought I would be able to play on my new TV. If I plug the drive into any USB port and select Video in the Home menu, I am told my files will appear - but they don’t. Any ideas?

My TV KDL 32WD755B recognizes, that USB flash drive is plugged in, but does not list it among input soutces to select files on it.

I have the same problem on my KDL-43WD753 that flash disc shows on the TV but at next klick it cannot recognice whats in it!
