Which of these TV's is the best to buy. XF9005 is 2018 model has X1 extreme processor but XG8096 is 2019 model but doesn't have a sperate processor. Help please

Hi @dmezluv

In general terms the LED specs are:

Xx7 = Entry Level Spec.

Xx8 = Medium Level Spec

Xx9 = High Level Spec

The number following the 7/8/9 means even higher spec so Xx95 has a better spec than Xx90.

The XF9005 has the far superior VA panel with deeper blacks etc. The XG8096 has an ordinary IPS panel.

To me the XF9005 is a no brainer unless you want to wait for the XG9005 or better still the available XG9505.

As mentioned above, XF90 is equiped with superior quality panel and processor, while XG80 has IPS.

I`ve made same mistake last year not buying XF90 instead of XF85.

Hi,

For those looking to buy a 2019 Sony BRAVIA TV, I strongly recommend either the XG85 or XG95 models compared to the XG80 and XG90. The reason being the updated hardware on the XG85 and XG95 models which has a significant impact compared to the previous generation hardware implemented on the XG80 and XG90. The difference between an XG90 and XF90 is in real use-case scenario: negligible.

4K Sony Model naming.

KD = 4K whereas KDL = HD

Were looking at 4K models per year following on from the spec.

KD XG = 2019

KD XF = 2018

KD XE = 2017

KD XD = 2016

so KD - 49 - XG - 9005 (KD49XG9005)

is 4K - 49inch - 2019 model - High Spec

I have the KD49XG9005.

im in desperate need to fix the best picture settings on this TV,

as the picture on Sky Q was better on my old KDL43W809C,

a brilliant Android 2015 Full HD TV.

This should not be the case!!!!!

PLEASE HELP!!!!!
