Sony Bravia tv 49x8005c blank screen !

just wondering if anyone can help, I have a Sony Bravia tv 49x8005c which I went to turn on,the middle light powers up when I press the power button but apart from this all I get is a blank screen absolutely zero happens, never had a fault before... any help appreciated
