Assuming you are viewing copy of legally owned movie disks which codec are you using for compressing the blue rays?

Hi,

I was in the middle of watching a video (MKV) from a USB when the screen froze. I exited and clicked on the movie again to try play it but an error message saying 'cannot play video' shows. I erased the USB and made it exFAT (like it was before) and tried again with some other MKV files, but the 'cannot play video' error message still shows. I know the files won't work before I click on them because usually the duration of the movie shows under the files but not anymore. The files were working before but not anymore.

I was wondering if anyone knows a solution to this.

Thank you
