Sony Bravia KD49XH8196 No Wifi

Hi guys,

Recently purchased a new Sony Bravia KD49XH8196 a month ago and all was working fine until yesterday when the TV would not connect to the internet. I clicked into Settings > Network > and the Wifi is switched to the off position. When I change this to on it automatically switches back to off straight away.

I have tried turning the TV on and off from the wall and unplugging the power lead.

I have also tried a factory reset and no luck either.

I have tried restarting the TV by holding down the power button on the remote control.

The TV to my knowledge is up to date from a software point of view as I did an update when I got it.

Does anybody have any other suggestions as the TV is only a month old it's disappointing to have this issue.

Have you tried to run the network set-up procedure as described here:

Or does it fail because you cannot switch in WiFi?

In this case I would recommend to contact Service for booking a repair.
