How can i prevent SONY TV Model KD-55XG8o96 SW- PKG 6.655.0257EUA, from switching to 144p when it is the resolution is set to 1080p or auto

Hi Scanbit,

If the resolution of the signal is 144p then the TV will display this resolution. You cannot change it.

Anyway, the TV upscales the signal to full screen resolution.

If you're streaming from Youtube for example, the streaming quality usually ramps up as the video is buffered. Also, if the connection is experiencing and slow downs, the quality may drop temporarily.

You can try connecting the TV to your phone (tethering) to test the video quality (make sure the phone is on 4G as opposed to Wi-Fi during the test).

Hi Peter, France 24/7 news -youtube streaming sets the resolution of the signal down to 144p, I can immediately manually set it up to 1080p. I mean the signal is reduced when France 24 /, is connected to a news correspondent via a weak connection.
How can prevent a change of my resolution setup.
