KD43XH8196 sound gone on certain apps

New TV ... Working fine for last 2 weeks.

Today catch-up TV apps no longer playing any sound.

Normal TV ok ... As is netflix.

TV auto updated it's software yesterday ? Linked?

System sounds have vanished too. It used to bleep every time I moved around menus.

Found system sounds in settings menu. Was set to On, so I tried to set off then on again, but makes no difference.

And now YouTube won't play any videos at all.

What was this latest update? It's screwed my brand new TV.

Had to do a factory reset to sort issues.

Not impressed considering this TV is not even 2 weeks old!

I had a similar problem. AirPlay was working for video but with no sound (very annoying as I spent ages trying to work out what was happening).

This morning I did a power reset (as suggested in the FAQs) but the second time I unplugged the power supply for a couple of minutes. After that when the TV restarted I got the Android symbols and the Android TV splash screen and then AirPlay started working properly and sound problems seem to have gone away. It suggests software update didn't finish properly.
