Hi @Iz81, I'm sorry to hear about that.

Have you tried removing the SIM card and mounting it again in your phone? If you haven't done that I would recommend that you start with that.

If there is no change, try and register on the service providers network again. To do that go to Settings > More > Mobile networks > Networks operators. A search will now start and when it's done you will see your home network marked with a small house icon, tap on that and it should register on the network.

If you still don't have a network signal, could you try with another SIM card in your phone? If you can borrow one from a colleague, friend or family member!

Let me know how it goes!

Hi
1st-time poster. I have the same problem (South Africa). Phone sometimes gets a signal (1hour out of 24hours) which is very frustrating, constantly on wifi just to stay somehow in contact.

I used another phone (Sony c4) with a working SIM and swapped the SIM cards. My SIM card was working 100% with the other Sony. The SIM card that was working In the C4 was not working in the M4, therefore it is an issue with the phone.

I then tried "...go to Settings > More > Mobile networks > Networks operators.. and changed from LTE/WCDMA/GSM to WCDMA/GSM and just GSM and nothing worked.

Any suggestions ??

Hi @W1k1, welcome to our forum!

I am so sorry for the late reply to your post and I am sorry to hear about your phone.

Based on the troubleshooting you have already done on your own (swapping SIM cards between the phones) it's something that is not working correctly in your Xperia M4 Aqua since you can't get a connection even when using GSM only.

I would recommend that you perform a software repair using Xperia Companion, this way we can rule out that this is caused by the software in the Xperia M4 Aqua.

Do note that the repair will delete all data stored on your internal storage of your phone, so it's advised to backup using Xperia Companion before starting with the repair.

Should there be no change after the software repair has been completed, your device will have to examined at an authorized service centre. Your Local support will gladly arrange a repair for you and answer all the questions you may have regarding service routines, accepted service time and so forth!

Let me know how it goes!
