Where's the SMS settings in Neo?

Hello friends,

I use Neo with android 2.3.4.

Where I can find SMS settings in which I can change my SMS center number and all? Please help. Thanks in advance

open the messaging app then press MENU -> settings

or I don't know if you are reffering to the APN settings

settings -> wireless & networks -> mobile networks -> access point names

Above setting is for GPRS.

I want SMS setting which gives settings related to SMS profile like Message center number (also called SC address), validity period, msg type etc.

go to the dialer then dial this

*#*#4636#*#*

I got the Solution: Very simple

Dial *#*#4636#*#*.
You will get a menu, from that select Phone Information
You will find a setting "SMSC"
Refresh it. It is most likely to retrieve the message center number from your operator. (Or call your operator, and get the message center number, and then update in this field)

someone noob like me will get frightened looking at such testing settings and would always be scared of changing any small thing. Once I could not find my solution dialing what you said, i got scared. cancelled. Googled it and found it that SMSC is the thing i am looking for. I clicked on refresh and I updated it to the original which was deliberately changed by me on my old ex-SE phone.

Hiii...I am not able to send text msg from my sony ericsson W8 phone,

I tried the below solution:

Dial *#*#4636#*#*.
You will get a menu, from that select Phone Information

but when I click on update or refresh button then it gives Update Error/Refresh Error.. what to do??

I tried *#*#4636#*#* but getting Update/Refresh Errror.

If I go to settings -> wireless & networks -> mobile networks -> access point names.. i am not able to find any option to update message center number..

I am able to send messages via this SIM in other mobile phones.. that means there is no problem in it.

are the other phones android phones or smartphones? if not then your SIM card might be too old and you need to replace it

try settings -> sony ericsson -> internet settings/download settings
