xperia arc wont update , help

l cant update my Xperia arc, l follow all the steps up to turning the phone off and re connect to pc and it says your update has started but if l waited an hour and it was still saying your update has started and then l just pressed enter and it it said update is finished , but when l turn my phone on its still the same no update.. and l re did the proccess and still same results no update.

Your Xperia Arc might already have the latest update installed? The latest update brings build number is on 4.0.2.A.0.62 and Android 2.3.4. Check it in the settings. If you're trying to update to Android 4.0 ICS then you'll have to wait cause it hasn't been released yet for Xperia Arc.
