Arc S - very very slow! :(

Hi guys,

I bought my Arc S a month ago & I have been facing problem from the very second day. Totally, I have installed only 18 apps. Yet, it is very very slow! Dont know what to do. There are no smses saved, no data from WhatsApp. Shifted all possible apps to SD Card (non-rooted!). Yet, it is very slow. I open contacts, it takes minimum 5 seconds. From contacts, open the infinity view, it takes another 5-7 secons. Open messages, it takes another 10 seconds. Everything is very slow.

Dont know what more to do. Can someone please help?

According to the sony support the phone's performance will be better if we switch it off and on everyday so that all the unnecessary applications which are not obligatory for the functioning of the phone will be stopped. So this will give way for better and faster performance.

once have a look at the SUPPORT in your mobile.

I have been doing that in the hope that it will improve, but it is hardly doing that. I felt worse when I saw a friend's Neo V in which he has installed some 50 apps, has all messages intact & still getting a fantastic response & performance! After all, Arc S is suppose to be a giant. But its failing me

you have to many SMS/MMS stored on your messaging app, that will slow down any phone

repair your phone with SUS

On the same day, following my elder brother's advice (who is another ardent fan of Sony & expert), I SUSed it. Now my phone is much much better. I have now installed 33 apps in total (against 18 apps as earlier) and there is no change in the speed.

Also, I was keeping my msgs empty. So, the slowness was not because of that.

Finally, SUS has worked. I am happy
