How to Root Sony Ericsson Live With Walkman (WT19i)

im using sony ericsson live with waalkman, some softwares and games ask for root my ROM. i have no idea what is that, i have tried to root my rom by installing softwares but it doesn't work. i used Easy Rooting Toolkit (V1.0), i also followd the instructions before rooting but nothing works.

okh this build number is impossible to root,
either you need to flash an old kernel or flash an old firmware

you know how to flash using flashtool ?

note; rooting might void your warranty

i'hv done this process too, now how do i know my phone is successfuly rooted bcause i haven't got any message like it was successful and if my phone is successfuly rooted can i update my build number then?

okhh, in the menu see if any app SUPERUSER has been installed

yess now update only through update center ( ota ) and not through pc companion or SUS

THANK YOU NABEL for your posting. I have already flashed my phone. I check this following post too. But I am not sure whether this is the post to do root or not Please make me sure so that I follow it and complete my rooting.

Hi,

I downloaded the flash tool but not able to download the ROM file its showing the error message as "

This file does not exist, the access to the following file is limited or it has been removed due to infringement of copyright.". Please advise.

Download from here, ( roms given in a table , download 0.42 or 0.58 )

Thank you for your prompt response. I downloadeded the 0.42 Rom and placed in the following path C:\Flashtool\firmwares and then run FlashTool.exe then it open up the software. When i clicked the Flash icon its shows Flash Cancelled. Please advise.

ok I see what happened, you probably moved the usb cable and/or released the back/volume button too early

You should follow the whole rooting process again

you are on which firmware ?

if on 0.62 then its not possible to root it
