I have multiple remembered WiFi networks on my phone. My phone automatically connects to all of them except one - the network at my office. With this one particular network, I have to go into Settings -> Wireless & Networks -> WiFi Settings, then my phone will automatically connect to this network.

There are multiple other phones in my office (Androids, iPhones, Blackberrys) that connect automatically to this network. I was able to test another Xperia Mini Pro on this same network, and I saw the same behavior, it would not automatically connect until on the WiFi Settings screen. So the problem appears to be unique to the combination of Xperia phone on my office WiFi network.

Any ideas? I called the USA Xperia support line, and they told me there was an issue with the phone software where it will only automatically connect to ONE remembered network, which is clearly not correct since I have multiple other networks remembered that connect automatically just fine.

EDIT: I'm on Android 2.3.4 build 4.0.2.A.0.62

Since you can't change much settings in the phone that would affect this I suggest that you check what wireless settings that are being used on the networks which you can connect to automatically and then compare them with the settings used at your office. Doing this could give you a hint of what maybe causing the trouble with auto connect.

What do you think about this forum? Let us know by doing this short survey

FYI, in case anyone else has the same problem, ICS 4.0.4 solved this.
