full wipe with pc companion

Hi,

I understood from another forum that is better to make a full wipe before upgrading ti ICS. How can I do this with PC Companion after the update is available for me, knowing that Companion will propose me directly an upgrade, not a repair ?

It's only usefull if you flash manually an ftf file or an image with firmware. If you update via PCC or SUS there is no need for wiping!

Use this

SUS ( Sony Update Service) ... download and install it on pc and follow the on-screen instructions http://www-support-downloads.sonymobile.com/Software%20Downloads/Update_Service_Setup-2.11.12.5.exe

Both the links are same

While updating use factory data reset + installation

But you can indirectly perform this step through pc companion as well

Istall ICS using PC Companion and then install it again

Backup everything as it will erase all data on phone (sms, contacts,apps)

PCC (PC COMPANION) – Repair your software with this .First do the setup without connecting your mobile to pc.(only connect when you are asked to).

Do it as follow >> PCC > SUPPORT ZONE> SOFTWARE UPDATE> REPAIR SOFTWARE (written with blue)

TENHO UM ZQ e meu microfone parou de funcionar mais quando , ligo viva voz funciona normalmente o que devo fazer ?

ja tive problemas com meu ZQ quando bloqueou o imei mandei para autorizada e me enviaram um novo e agora outro problema ' celular bom show mais pq tantos problemas ???
