Unable to connect to PC

Hello,

I have Sony Xperia U updated with version 2.3.7 build 6.0.B.3.162 and Kernel version 2.6.35.7+

I am unable to connect the phone to my PC. I have tried every solution mentioned. I also restored my phone to factory settings, stopped the MTP USB device on PC, stopped and restarted the MTP service from the phone, reinstalled companion, and all of the other listed solutions in this direction. Nothing worked.

Although PC companion starts when I connect my phone but it fails to identifies it. I also noticed that in device manager the MTP USB Device is not working properly.

Please point me to a solution that restores my confidence in this device and get back on track. Thank you

I forgot to add that I have Windows 7 64 bit on my PC.

mmohdher i wont guarantee that the upgraded firmware will solve your issue but you can give it a shot.

although there are high chances that the phone will get connected to windows XP running computer or a Macintosh.

clearing the internal storage is also an option.

Xperia U is full of bugs.....trust me

I have almost the same situation...
Sony xperia U ST25a version 2.3.7, build 6.0.B.1.564 and Kernel 2.6.35.7+
It was working very well but a few days ago it couldn't connect to my pc anymore and the pcc can't find it. No messages are been showed, just can't find. I had reinstal it some times and still not working.
I'm using win 7 32.

By the way, when I plugged the usb cable it starts to recharge the battery.

I started Windows with only minimal settings and set the phone to USB debugging. Windows recognizes the phone and installed the device successfully, the message appeared saying that the Xperia device was installed, but pcc still have not found it.

Hello

Now I can not connect my phone to the computer, but the connection lasts less than 1 minute and after that the PCC, my pc and my phone must be restarted for the pc recognize the phone again. Could someone from SONY support help? I need to transfer data.
