Sony xperia P rebooting again and again..

I bought a new sony xperia P around 3-4 months back. I got it updated with ICS using PC Companion as well. It was working ok except for battery issue but 6 days ago when i was checking my facebook acount, an error msg flashed on screen saying 'Unfortunatly facebook has stopped working!'. I pressed 'OK'. Then another msg shown related to some other application. I pressed 'OK' again. After that phone shut down. I tried to start it several times but it always shows the same 'XPERIA' sign again and again and then reboot itself again. I had to press power button and volume up key to forcibly shut it down. I could not get my phone working due to this problem for last 6 days as i was in a remote area where i could not visit any sony centre. I came back today itself and tried to fix it using pc companion but my phone could not be detected by it. Please help me find out if there is any solution to this problem other than visiting the service centre.

Connect your phone to your computer and update with SUS,with data reset.It should work.

If the mentioned solution above doesn't work, you unfortunately have to send your phone in to a service center for repair.

Thanks for replying alexdon..

But as i mentioned, pc companion could not detect the phone. Is there any other way to do what you are suggesting? If yes, please tell me how to do it. I will really be thankful.

Sony Xperia Support : I live in faridabad. I tried to find sony service centre for mobiles but could not find any in the city. Is there a service centre in faridabad for sony mobiles? If yes, please provide the address. Thanks..

I am also getting same problem, please tell me how did you figured out to connect the mobile. I am trying to connect it to PC Companion but by the time PC detects my mobile it reboots again!! Please Help..

switch off the device

now use flashtool http://www.flashtool.net/download.html

then download https://mega.co.nz/#!ngwBARRJ!H_XrsU5RH9iGN-iH3COmRlXf2xImsSnXy7DpJ4wYT3A this file

install flashtool, then move the download above files to c/program files/flashtool/firmwares

now open flash tool and flash .. u r done
