replacing the pre-installed shatterproof film

I have Sony Xperia s and its screen is a bit scratched even its scratch-resistance and after a little research I found that there is screen protector over the original glass which is shatter-resistance and the one getting scratched, my other concern is when I put a screen cover the screen shows little dots that becomes very visible in white photos, so my question is can I remove the pre-installed cover and put new cover without the little dots and is also shatterproof?? Could you point me one in eBay

Hi, you cannot replace the shatterproof film, or find one. It's placed only in factory with some adhesive holding it, so removing it is a bit tricky and not as simple as removing the screen protector. If it's bothering you have to remove it and just place a screen protector on your screen. I removed mine as well after I had a similar problem with my S. There are videos on how to remove the shatter proof cover if you look. I removed mine with the pointy edge of a knife pushing softly from the low corner of the phone. When you manage to lift the corner just grab it and slowly pull the cover off the phone.

You'll lose the shatter resistance and just rely on the scratch resistance protector, but if the dots are bothering you it's the only way.

They're pretty much all the same. Just look for a branded one, like gorillagard
