Hi,

Having recently switched from BlackBerry to the SP I'm finding out all the things I used to take for granted with the BB aren't as simple on the SP.

The BB had an auto off/on function where you could set the phone to auto switch off at night and it would auto on when the alarm was set in the morning. I have yet to find this on the SP.

If I switch the phone off at night the alarm doesn't function in the am.

If the phone is left on overnight I get all the alerts from overnight emails with accompanying light show.

Can anyone advise the best way to set the phone up so I can have an alarm and a good nights sleep?

Many thanks.

That's not just the Xperia SP but all Androids, even iOS and it seems that win8 mobile phones too.

You don't have to turn off your phone to disconnect just long press Power > Airplane mode > it will turn off all radios and the alarm will work
