Inbound Text being diverted

I can send a Text to an iPhone but when they hit reply their message goes to a random and unconnected person as an iMessage. We have unconnected Phone and Apple accounts as apple suggest it is because we share an account. This doesn't make sense as I am Android and my phone has nothing to do with apple?!?

They could reply on Friday and it hit my inbox but now they all get diverted?

You can't do anything in your Xperia T to control how the SMS will be sent from the iPhone to you. As far as I know, this is something that must be changed in iMessage in the iPhone sending you the messages.

Tell your friend to delete the conversation and then send him a sms > and whenever they reply to select SMS not iMessage
