Does charging too often ruins the battery lifetime?

You see,i am a gamer,played Asphalt 8 ONLINE,Modern Combat 4 and Dark Knight.I had to charge over 3 times a day in order to play those high-end games.Sometimes,i get very anxious and charge the phone right after it reach the 80%mark.So does charging the phone too many times will ruin the battery?

Let say, If I have 60% of battery and I charge the phone again..does this habbits ruin my battery if I often doing this??

Charging the battery often won't affect the lifetime of the battery (Xperia sp user guide page 14).

Why my battery estimated standby time was only 4days and 20hours (at 100%)... I see many of megazine show that the xperia sp has estimated standby time for 9days..is my battery has any problem??

Nope,i don't think so..Probably the magazine showed another phone..As in my case,my standby time showed 4 days and 17 hours(at 94%).Then,since i use mobile data for straight 8 days it went to 3 days 12 hours(at 100%) and shocked the out of me..Then i tried to leave it alone(with mobile data to off(for 4 days)and the estimated time went back to 4 days and 17 hours..So the battery was actually learning my usage..

Thats weird.Mine use only 15% of battery when using twitter and wechat for straight 2 hours.Probably there's many apps running in the background that refreshes frequently thus draining the battery.

For the first 2-4 days,the app will learn your battery usage pattern.In the mean time,you can change apps' preference either it have to refresh when you need(Saves battery) or refreshes only when you only open it(Use minimal battery) or refreshes when the app need it(Uses the most battery).So you just have to alter the apps whether you need instant notifications or receive it when you open the app.
