Xperia SP camera burst mode

Hi.

Just bought a brand new Xperia SP on EE pay-as-you-go. I want to ask about the camera on the phone.

Is there a burst mode feature in the camera? The iPhone 5/5C has specs equal if not lower than the SP and yet the OS was capable of "handling" burst mode in some way.

Please advice. Thanks.

For the burst mode,you need to keep the camera button pressed for some time,it will automatically shot.

But i thought a burst mode should be "enabled" first under the cmaera settings?

You can search through the options,I do not own SP.Does the suggestion I gave you work?

Yup i tried it but for some reason it only took 2 shots.

I can only find Sports option under Scene Selection. I cannot seem to find a proper burst mode option.

Go to settings-apps-all,there should be an app unlimited burst mode or something like that.But I have no idea how to use it,I only know of it:smileymrgreen:

Currently this option is not available in xperia devices running android 4.1
Wait for 30th december to come with an update for android 4.3 and you will then be able to take pics in burst mode.

Is there an app to enable burst mode or an alternative camera app? So far the Android 4.3 changelog does not include a burst mode option for the Xperia SP or any Xperia phone for that matter.

Search the google play,find what you think suits you and is compatible with the phone.

Xperia Sp's camera doesn't support burst mode. There is a burst mode app in the .284 system apps folder. Probably leftover code from the Xperia Z build (which the SP is based on, they wouldn't rewrite all the code) that was disabled because the camera wouldn't support it. Though the next update(4.3) may support that.

no burst mode in sp , you can use a third app but the quality is too poor as the camera is not a good performer as you expect from an 8 mp cam

Such a disappointment from Sony. You would think with the kind of specs at least the camera should support burst mode. Sony doesn't seem to prioritise such issues and prefer to ignore suggestions from users like me.

I don't know of any good 3rd-party camera app out there that "supports" burst mode or even if there is an app will the burst mode work properly.

I don't think Sony has really thought this through. OS in general is slow and lack many features that you would expect from those specs.

I have emailed them at least 4 times in the past year (twice for the Xperia Z and twice for the Xperia SP) and it seems they haven't learned any lesson.

I know and i understand. We can only email and tell them and hope someday they realise that they have very buggy and very slow software albeit very good hardware.
