I have looked through my history and found the websites I was directed to.
Mymobicorp and androidsecurityplus, then some two websites that were redirecting me somewhere. After some searching around it was most likely just a flash image or something that popped up and it should be harmless... If the whole point was to get me to install their security app onto my phone, then I hope by clicking on their link it hasn't actually done anything to my phone since nothing was installed.

In the Google Chrome Address bar I accidentally typed in Googoe.com instead of google, this took me to a page where it said that I had 7 infected files within my Android phone and that if this was not repaired it could have serious consequences to the phone, it then provided an option on the page to 'Repair Now' or some thing along the lines of that.

I was just wondering if this was an actual response from the android system or if this was just fake message from googoe. This was all within the web page so I'm guessing it was fake, but just asking to make sure!

I have done scans of my phone and so far nothing had picked up a virus of any kind, thanks in advance!

It must have been an add, spyware or something.Do not tap on any messages of that kind, which offer you repair, money,or any other things.

Well in the split second I was panicking, I did actually click on the button, that was probably a stupid idea, however within the second I cancelled whatever was loading.

I have been to that website on an old phone and everything seems to be fine, a friend actually tried going onto that website and his computer did not have any alerts/messages popping up, I'm sure I can't be the only one who's made that typo...

I'm guessing that the page with the infected files message appears for androids, because on my old Windows phone and on the computer, Googoe.com took me to a website that had no problems at all, just the usual domain that appears when typos are made with other websites.

I'm hoping that the scans did a thorough job and that there are no viruses, I'll do another scan tomorrow, thanks for the reply!

Yes,there are no actual known viruses for android, you can get viruses to an android phone, but it is not known how they react.Try to scan the memory with a computer antivirus also, but I think it is ok.

If anyone happens to have an old android that they aren't using and wouldn't mind seeing if I'm not the only one that gets this pop up, that would be nice.

Right now I'm just afraid that my phone is infected somehow, even though the scans showed nothing.

You could try a software repair with all data removal(phone memory and micro sd).

It is not known how viruses act on android, there are no known viruses for it.Downlad sony update service, install, open. You just have to follow the steps provided to repair.(It reinstalls a fresh copy of your software). It will erase the phone memory completely. You can also format and scan your micro sd card.

But do not repair yet,see if the phone acts weird, then do it.
