Have you tried to run a repair using SUS from here - Simply install and follow the onscreen instructions - If that works but still fails to switch on then consider the screen may be non working check using the HDMI cable if that fails then yes I would consider changing the board or it some circumstances it is sometimes cheaper to buy a 2nd hand phone of the same model on eBay for example

Hi, first i want to appologize for my bad english . I have a sony xperia s lt26i and it won't turn on. 1 Mount ago it felt in water, i dissasambed it, clean everything and bought a new battery, i charged it and i tried to switch it on sometimes comes the Sony logo and it just goes back off. and sometimes nothing happens... I updated it with Sony PC Companion and now does not ever vibrate when i push the power and volume. When i connect it to pc is recognised and the red LED is on but after 10-20 minutes it goes off. So please if someone has an idea about what can be wrong with it is welcome to reply. Thank you.

If when you took it apart you didn't remove the heat shields on the board then tried to turn it back on then it's possible you have shorted the board - Water gets trapped under the heat shields - The best way to dry a board is first immerse it in alcohol with the heat shields removed as this disperses the water and dry's quicker than water with slight heat from a hair dryer for example - So I'm thinking you have shorted the board
