What's your favourite Android application?

The world of Android applications is growing everyday with around 50,000 applications in the Android Market alone, you can find almost anything you want.

So, take a minute and share you favourite Android applications here. Are you a fan of games, or maybe productivity applications?

On the X10 it has to be JuiceDefender... without it my phone would need recharging around every 8 hours.

My favorites are:

- Toshl

Found in Playnow free download. Tracks all your spending by categories with monthly summary. Great for the economy.

- WisePilot

Found in Playnow free download. Provides turn-by-turn navigation with voice. Free subscription for 2 years I think.

- Key Ring

Scan and save barcodes for store memberships. Nice interface.No more membership cards to carry !

- Bump

Send contacts info, pictures, apps by bumping phones together and also works with iPhones (many of my friends are using iPhone so this is great)

- XPERIA FlashLight

Activates the camera's LED light to use as flashlight. A very convenient 1 click on and off widget. And it's made specifically for Xperia X10 !

- Taskpanel

Kills applications in the background automatically. Improves my battery life by a lot***.

- APNdroid

Disable 2G/3G data but still allow MMS. (I don't have unlimit data plan).

*** I only used it for 1-2 days. Still not sure if it's this app or other things that made my battery life improve.

I've just downloaded the Apps Organizer, which is excellent. It enables you to sort out apps by categories - there are some categories already on it, or you can create your own. I have just organised mine and have created shortcuts on my home screen for "Japanese" and for "Games", with each folder containing a number of apps. If you like, apps can be listed in more than one category. Well worth trying out.

The tethering application that lets my X10 act as a wireless router while I am traveling across Canada. It really helps me out since I pay quite a bit per month to have a national data access plan. Tethering my phone to my laptop helps me do business while I'm out of the office.

Oh wait, I must have been dreaming. There's no such application because we can't install it as there is no ROOT ACCESS on the phone.

I love the sega and nintendo emulators! They are really nice on a 4 inch screen! But you know what? IT SUCKS BECAUSE THERE IS NO MULTI TOUCH. UPDATE THE PHONE SONY OR ELSE THIS IS THE LAST PRODUCT I BUY FROM YOU

Yeh it would be good if we could get some replies back on REAL problems and issues with the phones and not blanked all the time. SE being the big corporation that they are must have a way of putting ALL these people at ease with there issues we are having with there phones. We the normal people that buy there phones must be heared when it comes to issues with the products they are selling us, possative and negative,we love the phones and what they do we just want to help put rite all the little problems that have been missed. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE SE take a long look at this forum and address some of the issues we are haveing,THIS IS WHY YOU HAVE THESE FORUMS SO WE CAN FEED BACK TO YOU .

OMG are you for real, there are nothing but complaints from people who are having serious problems with your phones, yet the only thing you post is to ask what our favourite apps are, what a total joke!

Why not address the issues that people are having rather than ask stupid questions, why would you care what our fav apps are when you don't care that most people on here are constantly asking for problems to be resolved.

Am I going crazy, is this guy actually serious???

Hi Guys,

I have learnt the lesson. SE has just hyped us to buy its phone. True, it was all fancy once with so-called ‘high-end’ powered phone. But when you review the top 5 or top 10 or even top 20 phones in the global market, Sony Ericsson does not come in any of these.

So please next time before buying phone, especially SE, wait and get the review before shelling out the money. Remember, this XPERIA phone is of same cost compared to all the leading smart phones.

HTC EVO the leading followed by iPhone 4G. Even Samsung is hitting in the top 10 list like Samsung Galaxy, Samsung Captivate, etc.

SE, known for it picture quality, I feel bad to take shots as every shots that I take gets blurred.

The drawbacks are huge in XPERIA. The most annoying is the Call-Volume. Phone not serving its BASIC FUNCTION.

Last but not least, the design of XPERIA is so cunning that they did not see the future. Today they hung their face and say that ‘I am sorry, XPERIA will not taste Android 3.0 onwards’ as hardware is incompatible. Lookout for HTC and Samsung and Nexus and Motorola, they are shining out in the market.

Where is SE in mobile industry?

Watch out in your next investment. Personal advice – research before investing.
