Hi,

I have an unlimited data plan, so almost always keep my mobile data enabled (using 3G). Is that using more battery than disabling it, considering that the mobile data traffic is very limited?

Thanks.

3g data connection is the most battery killer smartphone function.

If you want to increase battery life leaving data connection on you can try to:

- Switch from 3g to 2g (that is enough to use whatsapp and sync emails)

- Disable app autosync in background (like push email)

- Use phone when carrier coverage is very good
