X alert password reset ??

few days back i set password for x alert now i re inserted sim it is asking for password which i don't know also not picking up Signals.Please tell me how to reset x alert password??

p.s I m the real owner of phone.I have all documents related with it.

i tried re-inserting sim few times before posting here but I tried again now it is correctly inserted.Not asking for password anymore as sim is registered with phone thought i didn't remember password for x alert soo i can't use that app.Solved!!

Thanks brother. My problem is solved. Thank god that I saw this before resetting my factory settings. Hope this doesn't happen again.

this is by far the most riduculous security app that sony has roped in as its not even linked to your primary email id, so, in the event the real user forgets the pin , there no logical way to retrieve it.

However, it can be disarmed , and in conrary to what options are avilable, there is no need for the factory reset although thats what sony help suggests.

the problem occurs coz the app dosent recognize a patter lock and has the option of pin only.

this is wht you can do,

If you have Screen lock = Pattern then you need to change it to PIN
Go to Settings => Security => Device Administrator and untick X - Alert for XPERIA
Now go to Settings => Apps => All = Select X - Alert for XPERIA
Click on Force Stop and do Clear Cache

It should work at step 2 itself. In case the alet pops up before you can access the 'settings' then you can switch off you phone and switch it on and QUICKLY go to settings and disarm it as the app takes about 5 seconds to kick in. So, you have to be real fast while doing it.

I used this app.it asks security password repeatedly after I typed correct password. My mobile was not working due to this.it is shutting down after my attempt. Can any one tell me what to do?????
