Android 4.3 Update?

Hi,

some days ago I switched from iPhone to Sony Xperia Z1. I bought some stuff, e.g. the Runtastic Bluetooth Heart Rate Monitor, and it doesn't works with the Z1 (Android 4.2.2). With Android 4.3 this issues should be solved (Smart Bluetooth-Support with 4.3), so my question is, when the Update to 4.3 is available?

hey bud it is avalible on custom rom atm be aware should you do that you may void your warranty, but to be honest according to sony and android they will be relasing 4.4 KIT KAT at the end of this month so on a personal not id wait as they will be skipping 4.3

Nabeel apprently they are ment to skip this for 4.4 which is releasing this month

As long as there is no official news, there is no skipping. You might be correct but we have no official information as of yet.

I don't think we will even get it in January 2014.

Will keep reading the Xperia Blog to get news from Sony.

Imho, they should skip 4.3 on the Z1 and directly go for 4.4 ASAP.

Ah, everythign i've read indicates that they are going to skip 4.3 on Z1 and go straight to 4.4. Also everythign thats been said re 4.4 on z1 indicates that i t will be relerased this year as they want to launch z1 mini with 4.4 on it.

Can any one for Sony confirm the release of the Android 4.4, as per the twit its supposed to be released on 7th Nov which is today ( Though I aware that its hopeless to believe Sony's commitment). Hope Sony fixes all the bugs and provide us with a smooth and better OS with this update ( Camera, Sound quality, Heating issue and Display calibration)

I don't think Sony have ever said catagorically it would be available today. They have said there will be announcements made this week regarding 4.4

But this will likely be which devices will see the upgrade and in what timeframe (expect this to be in Q's not a set date)

God alone knows... they do need to make sure they fix a lot of issues though.. but from what i hear they are skipping 4.3 and going straight to 4.4.... time will tell..
