Xperia U headphone issue

I have once used my brothers' head phones (not hands free) of sony made, after that my phone seems to be in the mood of that head phones without plugged in.

No sound. while playing music, or playing radio or any other thing except ringtone while incoming call.. Although loud speaker is useable when in a call mode.

Kindly help me out of this.

I have upgraded my phone to andoid ICS, although my phone got slow but it was worrking.

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

I suggest that you to run your phone in safe mode for a while to check if you still experience this. If not this may be caused by any downloaded application.
How to boot into safe mode?

If not caused by any download application, I suggest that you try to reinstall the phone software using Update Service..

Before reinstalling your device you may want to backup your information first. Check out this topic for more information on how to.
How to backup?

If the issue should still remain I think that this needs to be examined and fixed at a repair center. For more information about how to submit your phone for repair and where, contact your local support team.

'em unable to open my phone on safe mode.

I tried all three ways.

details of my phone are as under

xperia u st25i

android 4.0.4

build number 6.1.1.8.1.10
