Hi there.

I just bought my Xperia Z1 like 4 days ago, and I have issues with my Sim Card. Sometimes the phone does not detect my sim card. And before you say my sim card is damage or something...I´ve tried it with other phones and it works fine.

Is there a defective hardward issue? Because i have to remove and insert my sim card many times so the phone can read it again. I have read other post on internet and many people have the same problem.

Is there any solution for this? Please help!!!

did you cut your sim card with sim card cutter or manually??

if you cut it manually then it might not decet the sim properly

currently what is your android veriosn!!. if you are not on 4.2.2. then update it to 4.2.2. but dnt update to 4.3 as it has lot of bugs

try to reset you mobile. if the non these steps help you then i recommend you to take your mobile to sony center. so they may rectify the problem or replace your mobile

Hope this helps :smileysmileythumbsup:

If you doubt the hardware problem, it's probably the problem of SIM card read connector, the part in the picture. You can take your phone to check and replace with a good one.

I have same problem too... For some reason sometimes my Xperia z1 doesn't detect my Sim card... When I remove and put my Sim card back for several times then it detects my Sim card but it happens randomly.... So I am afraid that one day it will not work... I am very happy to have Xperia z1 except this problem but it is quite annoying..
