Cannot connect to PC/Laptop

I am having an issue with me Z1, i was trying to connect to my pc via usb, I plug the cable into the pc and my mobile. Then the phone starts to vibrate saying that it is connected, and then straight away disconnects from the pc, this happens over and over again. A message appears on my phone for a second or two saying that a new update is ready to be downloaded on PC and disappears when the phone disconnects from pc.

Please help!!

But it does not explain why would my phone would vibrate constantly and acting this way. The suggestion didnt solve it as the PC wouldnt register my phone permenantly. It would vibrate on and off, on and off.

yep, tried 3 different usbs that works fine when charging in the wall

Have you tried to update your phone with Sony Update Service or PC Companion?

Here are the links so try with one which didn´t you use already:

Also, you can try to re-install both, if the problem persists.

NOTE: Make sure that your AV software is completely disabled.

I dont think its the software that is the problem. I think its the phone as it connects to pc and then disconnects straight away. This happens over and over again.
