It seems that you are a n00b on this but I'll try to clear it for you

you have the latest update on your Xperia P, this phone it is NOT going to receive 4.4, 4.3, etc, you alternative is to flash a "Custom ROM" now to do so you should check the XDA Forum and see which has the lest drawbacks, some Customs ROMS require that you unlock your bootloader while few others only root access, if you require to unlock your bootloader then you can check this link

developer.sonymobile.com/services/unlock-bootloader/

if your phone is or was locked to a carrier/network branded, you can NOT unlock the bootloader at all.

Keep in mind that if you unlock your bootloader your DRM keys will be gone forever

If you use the search bar (top right side) it shouldn't hard to miss, you will find other threads on the same topic and/or similar topics

http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xperia-P/Another-JB-Bug-keyboard-layout/m-p/346612/highlight/true#M21189

if you can't find any info here you can post at the XDA forum, which will make more sense as you want a Custom ROM
