I think you should go for a low level format of the card(a tool here). After that, put it in your device and format it again.

SD Card

I'm having trouble moving music from mediago to the SD card that is in the phone. I am computer-savy so yes I've formatted it, reset the phone hundreds of times, tried different cables, unlocked it before use, tried different applications; BUT any music or video that I move across from my computer to the SD card will not play. It won't even play it on the computer from the card. The file types are correct, all music is .mp3 and all video is .mp4. I have searched for a while and have not come up with a solution. The main reason I got this phone was for the external storage, but since I canont use it for anything but pictures I am very annoyed. I would greatly appreciate any advice or help. Thanks,
Jonah

Transfer a picture to your SD card (from your PC to your SD card) and check again, I'm starting to think that the issue its your SD card

seems that you had this issue before

http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xperia-Z1/xperia-z1-not-playing-music/m-p/507307#M12306
