Smartband notification issue

Hey there after a reset I won't recieve any notifications on my Smartband.
I tried the alarm clock which worked just fine and yes I activated the config to give me notifications on the Smartband

Also tried to reset the smartband ... still no notifications

Have you installed Smart Connect on your phone and some apps like gmail via Smart Connect need to have a box ticked to push notifications to the Band and Smartwatches etc

Yes I have but now I found out that apps like whatsapp are not supported (yet?). So it works with calls and messages.

I don't really use the notification on the SmartBand since I have a SmartWatch SW2 that handled that for me.. but just out of curiousity, I decided to try the notification on the SmartBand to test out your issue.

True enough .. certain notification are not vibrating the SmartBand ... in fact .. I think almost all the notification I recieved on the SmartWatch didn't vibrate the SmartBand .... weird (I have also turned on the administator option in the security for SmartBand) ....

Only the incoming calls worked.

Hi sookk80,

I am receiving notifications on my Smartband for sms and calls. In fact, my smartband receives the sms notifcation before the SW2, and for incoming calls, the SW2 gets it first.

I just realize that my post didn't contribute to help the thread starter in any way.

I just figured out why I wasn't getting any notifications ... apparently there is a sub-menu within the notifications (apart from turning it on and off) where you can setup which application's notification you want to get sent to the SmartBand .... now that I configured that screen .. the notifications are working .. however, I rather see notifications on the SmartWatch rather having vibrations on the SmartBand ... kinda redundant ....

Hi, where that screen of settings is located on the phone? Kindly, could you specify what we have to do to get smartband vibration from any notifications? Thanks a lot!

Go to the SmartBand (either from Notification Bar or via the SmartConnect app).

Then go to SmartBand Edit Settings

Tap on notifications (not the on/off button)

There you will find the list of apps installed on your phone. You can opt to turn on/off the notification for each of the app. Obviously you need to ensure that you turn on Notification vibrate before it will work.

I have checked everything that should be checked but still no vibrating on notifications or calls. My vibrates only on going too far away from my device. Any ideas?

How I solved this:

In android (not in the app) go to: device settings->security->acces to messages

And check if SmartBand is in the list and make sure that the box is checked.

Names on the menus might vary with device model, language, version of android etc.
