on a number of occasions my phone has frozen and will not light up when i press the power button to wake it up. it is still on though as it will flash and the hotspot still works as does the camera button. the only way to unfreeze it is to do a full reset which is annoying. any ideas why this is happening????

Stamina mode is on. That is the only powersaver

I have the same problem. Thought I fixed it by doing a reinstall by the phone. After that I did not have a problem untill 5 mins ago. It did it again and I had to do a hard reset.

The screen still reacts to my touch as I can unlock it, and the backlight turns on, but the display doesn't seem to start up.

Just had it happen to me again, just tried to plug in the charger and the screen turned on. Seems like a very weird issue.

Unfortunately in your case I would advise speaking with your local Xperia Care team to have them assist in arranging a repair.

Will try that. Only problem is that it isn't easy to make it do it. I have yet to see a pattern in it.

I just found a nifty little trick today, if it happens, you have double tap to wake up phone and you don't have it set to lock immediately when it enters sleep. You can do the following to "turn on" the screen again:

1. Wake it from sleep

2. Unlock it (guess this will be hard if you use a pincode or password)

3. Wait for it to turn off the screen, you can see the backlight turning off

4. Immediately double tap the screen

5. The screen should then start up with everything again.

This is atleast a nice quick solution if it happens and you need your phone.
