My smartband had the same problem with random vibrations with my z1 compact ...if you have an app like BBM where there is a permanent notification up everytime it changes from connected to connecting etc it will cause your smartband to vibrate as if for nothing cause you don't notice the changes...just remove the permanent notification in your app options and it should be okay 🙂

So here's the thing, My SmartBand SWR10 vibrates at the most random times.

Sometimes it vibrates once and other times it vibrates twice, also I always see that one of the lights flashes when it does vibrate.

I use a Samsung Galaxy S5 and this gets really annoying because I programmed my SmartBand to vibrate only for e-mails, texts messages, and incoming calls so everytime it does vibrates I always check my phone but there's nothing incoming for anything.

I tried everything from resetting the phone and SmartBand to re-programming the settings from the Sony SmartBand app - all to no avail.

I am very close to throwing my SmartBand in the trash.

Feedback and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

You Smartband app is that via the Sony Smart connect app? That is how I enter the settings to edit these things and have no issues apart from a random jog at 3am when I'm fast asleep

Yeah that's how I edit the settings for my SmartBand too.

Except it does nothing to solve the random vibration problems that fell onto my SmartBand.

Is my SmartBand defective?

Wish I had the perfect answer for you - Could be a compatibility issue could also be another app you have installed causing a conflict or as you said it could be defective - So you could try pairing your device with another phone for testing and see if the same happens

I have exactly the same "issue" (if it is one). I was looking for a manual on what is notified via vibration and just found this thread.

Sometimes i get vibration notification (now vn), some of them i got sorted, some not.

For expample when I lose connection (3G) I get one vn, when connection is back theres 2x vn.

Same goes for activating WLAN and connecting, I get 1 vn, then 2 because 3G is being disconnected.

Next is, when i start the camera app, the band vibrates several times. Can't stop that. I did uncheck the camera in the vn settings.

Sometimes it even vibrates when I unlock my screen. And again other times I get vns without any clue where from 😕

Maybe it's a connect/disconnect vibration? Try to uncheck "Vibrate when far from phone" or on connect/disconnect.

It's not the disconnect vibration.

I found out at least one of the "random" vibrations. The one happening when activating the display. I recently learned, this happens every time as soon as the phone battery is below 30%. It seems the band has a battery warning "feature", vibrating once everytime you activate the screen.

I did not find out how to deactivate that or if it is even possible.
