Thanks Uliwoolly, I'll try that, but it doesn't explain the problem, though there could be something wrong with the original not being formatted correctly. Cheers. atr345

Hi I recently purchased a Z2, and all was fine until I tried to copy a photo to my desktop (running XP) via USB. My computer can see the SD card, DCIM folder, 100 ANDRO folder, but its empty (supposedly). I have take the SD card out and using a card reader have found the photo on the card ok, so I know its there. What's going on? Any ideas? Thanks. Arthur

I'm sure. However, I swapped the SD card from my old phone(ST18i) to the Z2 and was able to see all of the old photos both on the phone, and on the Computer. When I put the new SD card in the old phone, I was able to view the "lost" photo ok, both on the phone, and on the computer. Very strange!!! Thanks for your interest. Old SD card 16GB class 4, new card 32GB class 10.

Hi again, further testing seems to show the problem lies in the file transfer system, possibly because I am running XP on my desktop, though it doesn't exist when using the old 16GB SD card. On that I can access both internal and the SD card without worrying about whether to use MTP or MSC. With the 32GB Ultra SD card, if I change to MSC, the computer can access the phone and retrieve photos from the SD card. However the computer does not recognise the phone, nor does PC Companion when MTP is activated. This seems to be the problem. Thanks for assisting. atr345
