Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

Have you attached any cover/case with a magnet? If yes, remove this cover to see if you experience the same behaviour. Otherwise, I suggest that you go to the dialer and enter: *#*#7378423#*#* > Service tests > Compass.

Hello, thank you for the very quick response. Indeed that has "fixed" the compass ( how embarrasing!). However it seems that the problem is the accelerometer. I will try recalibrating this.

Thank you again.

I have problems with my accelerometer too... it's not working properly since I bought my Xperia M (more than 1 year ago). It continuously changes its axis values even if it's layed down on a perfectly flat surface... I didn't give much importance to that, but after I downloaded a program who is based on the accelerometer's values changes, it has become a very annoying problem for me. What can I do to solve it?

Hi, Sorry to dig up an older topic, but I have an issue where my compass YAW is 'stuck' at 240 deg, when flat on the table with 0 pitch and 0 roll. If I raise the pitch' then the yaw increases, it seems very confused the poor thing. No number of figure 8's fix it. Like I said pitch and roll seem fine

Sorry, butter fingers. I have tried outside as well to ensure I wasn't near any metallic surfaces and strong sources of EMI. No protective case fitted during these tests

Phone is experia M2. (D2303) with latest firmware updates.

Any ideas on how to fix the problem?
