Hello.

I have an Xperia SP with 4.1.2 JB and after seeing that we wont get the 4.4 update, im just wondering is it worth it updating to 4.3 or not?cuz ive seen some users complaining about bugs on 4.3, while on 4.1 which i am now the phone runs smooth and fast without any issues...so is it worth it update to 4.3 or not?

Thank you.

That's a slippery slope, some users do experience some issues, not all users, my suggestion will be to create a backup of your current firmware > then update to the latest update and test it, if it doesn't work for you then downgrade either with the FTF file you had created or by taking it to a Sony Xperia Care center

http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/

Speaking from personal experience, I would not recommend this update at all. First the interface changes from black to white, and while eventually you might get used to it, it is a really blinding change at first. But most importantly, NOTHING works for me anymore. Everything crashes all the time, and that's not limited to apps. I had to turn the sound off on my alarm because my phone would freeze when I tried to hit snooze in the morning and the sound would just keep going. Even if I only have one app open it takes forever to load and I constantly get "[app] is not responding" messages, including "Xperia Home is not responding" - seriously, this error comes up even when you try to close your apps. If it can't load something fast enough, the screen just decides to go to black and you can spend minutes clicking and holding the unlock button with nothing happening. And while the world might be spoiled by the technology of smart phones, sometimes my phone would even crash when receiving a phone call, meaning it was useless even for its most basic function.

I miss 4.1.2 so much. Every day I think about filming myself using my SP because I'm sure someone out there would find my frustrations amusing.
