Hi Gumbootboy.

Welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

To add another phone number to a contact, you would simply do the following.

Menu > Contacts > Choose Contact > Tap Edit icon ( head with pencil) > Press the + sign below the Phone numbers

Once done, simply add the new number and press done.

I hope this helps.

Thanks for your reply but your method does not work, there is no plus sign under the saved phone number. Under the name of the contact there is a blue shaded section headed "phone" in which there is a section (window?) in which home, mobile and other options may be chosen. Beneath this is one contact phone number which I had entered but no plus sign. Beneath this there is then section headed "email" Your advise would be appreciated.

Hi Jake,

Thanksfor your reply. Unfortunately, I cannot send you a picture of the contacts section. Another problem I have is that I cannot get my phone to connect to my computer. I have followed the intructions from the Xperia M manual but the last step does not happen. That is a problem for another day. Any further thoughts on my connections problem?

As for your contacts problem

1) when you type the number( which want to save) in you dialer, you can see two options above, one is "Send text mesasge", other is "Add to contacts".

2) Selects "add to contacts", and then form the list, choose the contact to which you want to save the number.

and for the connection problem, what happens when you connect your phone to the computer?
