Internet Connection Problem

I'm faced with a very serious problem. My phone connects easily to home WiFi, but no internet access, when every other device is connected to the internet.

I've tried resetting the router, hard reset my phone three times at least, manually input IP settings etc, nothing works. Once in a while, extremely rarely i get a good connection to browse through opera, but nothing else, and that lasts only for a few minutes.

I want to know if this can be fixed by installing a custom rom, or not, since that'll void my warranty
