My xperia z1 has recently been updated to 5.0.2. Since then my xperia's battery life has been terrible! I was on my xperia earlier playing a game and I still had 50% battery left, all of a sudden my phone turns off and tells me I'm out of battery. I had this happen the other day but with 75%! It died so I left it to charge whilst off, when it reached 9% I turned it back on to find that I had 80% battery? I do not know why this is happening but I really want it to be sorted, I love this phone and want to get lots of use out of it. Please sort this out soon

Hi Crowsta123, welcome to the community!

I agree with @Phy here, some additional steps:

Running the software repair on PC Companion:
1. Install and open PC Companion then select Support Zone.
2. Phone Software Update.
3. Start.
4. Repair Phone
5. Continue
6. Accept data removal
7. Next
8. Wait for prepare
9. Select Phone
10. Follow the connection steps

I hope this helps! Keep us updated.

Hey
I tried this but it didn't work, I backed everything up and did the repair then tried restoring my apps back to my phone which was on around 90% battery but then the apps didn't come back so I had to manually reinstall them all from the app store which took a while then my phone told me I had 15% battery left and by the time I could plug it in to charge it went to 9%. Why is my phone doing this? Is it the update?
