I understand your frustration but if the phone it's not available in your country, none of them will have spare parts nor will repair the phone; if it's water damaged chances are that there's nothing that can be done to fix it

As @Uliwooly. if your phone wasnr bought in the country you are now then no service will be able to fix it

Sony doesn't sell international warranty plus if the device got water damaged there is a low chance of fixing it. If it was a faulty device then it should get replaced by sony but only in the country where you purchased the z3+

Sorry to hear about your phone

To say if it's possible to repair the phone or not, it needs to be investigated by an authorized service location. But in most cases, it's not possible to repair a phone that has been damaged by water and the entire phone needs to be replaced.

If the cause for water entering the phone is a manufactoring defect, this is covered by warranty and the phone is replaced on warranty but as already mentioned, you will need to take it to the dealer or a service location in the country/region where the phone was sold.

hi..

i had purchased xperia z3+ last year and was doing fine untill i saw somme colur change at corner of my phone's screen.

i gave it for repair at authorised service centre on 02 jul 16 and todya (23jul16) , i got my handset repaird. When i checked the pressure sensor values on my phone, it remained unchanged even after applying pressure on screen with the only port available on the phone firmly closed. The guy there told me that it is still water proof though he kept the phone to send again for confirmation. does that mean the seals are not in place and my phone is not water resistant as per the IPS ratings?

1. I received my xperia Z3+ after getting repaired (screen change).
2. When I checked the values of pressure sensor (in front of the xperia service centre person), it dosent change even on applying the pressure on screen. ( the only port on z3+ was firmly closed).
3. As I feared , the phone dosent seem to be fit for the IPS grading with which it came for being water resistant.
4. though the phone is with the service centre again for confirmation,
5. Does that mean its no more water resistant now??

thx bro,

but the thing is the pressure is not rising at all. It remains same either you open the flaps or close it firmly.

however in all new devices, i.e. that are factory sealed and not opened there after for repairs , it works.

i checked up with z5, it works. the service centre says it is passing the vaccum test, but strangely when i recd my phone back ,i foud the back panel to be having gap at one edge. i u press it, it dips down and on releasing up with gap seen. you can also insert thin object like a paper or something. how come they still claiming it water resistant??
