Update caused issues. Phone cracked?

I updated my phone to the new version.

I noticed afterwards that the screen started becoming less responsive. When I was on a call, the screen would go black, and unresponsive. I couldn't hang up the calls.

The phone also started freezing randomly.

I had planned on taking it into the bell store to see if I could maybe get some help - this was supposed to be tomorrow morning.

As I was sitting on my phone checking facebook, the screen cracked. Diagonally on the front. Not all the way through. Not the top of the screen - I can't touch or feel the crack.

The phone was not hot.

The phone was not dropped.

The phone has been in a tech21 Impactology case since day 1 - with a screen protector as well. I don't take the case off.

I had planned on sending my phone for exchange - because there is a bubble/defect in the front facing camera lens. The camera does not take clear pictures due to this. The phone is less than a year old, and I had not managed to get into the bell store yet. (since I figured out what the picture issue was. After months of troubleshooting other ideas).

I am disapointed - and after reading many different reports of it happening... I am hoping that Sony will step up to the plate and replace my phone. Since it is obviously a defect in the phone.

Does anyone know who I can contact? Or what the likelyhood of help occuring?

Thanks.

It did just break though.

The crack is not in the glass/surface. It is under the glass...if that makes any sense.

you can run your hands over the surface of the phone and not feel any breaks in the glass. Yet there is a diagonal crack across the screen.

I am not just saying whatever to get my broken phone fixed. Good Idea though. Ill keep that in mind for the future *rolls eyes*
