Large icons after update

I have just updated my phone and I HATE the way the icons are now LARGE this is really hurting my eyes and has now made my already Sony phone even more unsuitable for use.

Does anybody have a solution to this without 3Rd party apps?

Why do Sony do this?

This has been the same on lollipop, here is a thread:

From home settings you should be able to change the size. Tap longer on home, select the cogwheel and tap on icon size.

Hi @Angrysonyuser,

As @alexdon wrote, you can change this by holding a finger down on your Homescreen > Settings > Icon size > Small.
