Hi, I recently upgraded to the xperia x from the m3. When I try to put the sd card from my old phone into the new one it crashes the phone. The keyboard won't come up, the phone restarts itself and cycles through the power up sequence. The phone works fine without the sd card.

Is this a common issue? Will I need to buy a new sd card.

Thanks

You should format the microSD in a computer or in your old device and see if the same occurs. It might be a slow or a broken one.

Or it can be encrypted. If you can download the content to make a backup and then follow the advice of alexdon.. You may be able to see where the fault is. Hopefully is an incompatible SD card or that just need to be formatted rather than having a defective X.
