APN troubles Z3 compact

I just switched service providers, but I'm still using my z3 compact. My pervious service provider only had 1 apn for both internet and mms. However, my new provide has a seperate apn for internet and mms.

My issue is my z3 compact will not let me select two apn's at once. So I can either choose to have internet or receive and send picture texts msgs.

Does anyone know if there is a way to allow two APN's to be selected? I was also thinking, maybe a factory reset may work, but really don't want to go don't that route as it is a pain.

Thanks

Uliwooly is right, many carries use two apns, and each apn can be configured for a specific purpose, two of the main purposes are: internet and multimedia messaging.

So if you have two apns, the important is that you have one defined for internet and one defined for multimedia messaging, the device will select the right one for the right occasion.

Hi Allie_M16,

Welcome to the community,

First off I hope you are having a great day. In regards to the question what @uliwooly has stated is correct, pretty much all Network carriers use 2 APN settings for MMS and Internet, and there is no requirement for you to navigate to choose which to use.

One thing you have not advised is the problem, can you clarify if you have a problem with MMS and Internet or are you only asking because it seems odd to you?

Let us know
