My m4 wont charge unless the cable is wrapped around the phone and positioned in a certain way. The charging light flickers as as does the charging symbol. I have cleaned out the port re started my phone and nothing helps. The battery is now draining so fast i managed to get it to 20% and in ten mins its already went down 4% .

Hi @sarahpalmer17,

Does your device have the same behaviour if you use another cable to charge your phone? If not then this is most likely caused by a defect or broken charging cable, should it behave the same way even with another cable I recommend that you contact your Local support in order to have your device sent to and examined by an authorized service center.

Its definately not the actual charger as its done it with four different ones and all work on my partners phone. A piece of plastic came out the connection port but still not made a difference. The cable is wrapped around it and is charging now but its not exactly convienient. The battery drains really bad too and no active apps are the cause.

I can understand the inconvenience this may cause for you but I recommend that you have it sent to an authorized service center, especially if a part came out from the charging port in your phone.

Hi I have had the same problem and just found a crack on my screen. As you said the piece of plastic holding the pins in place has came out. I called the service centre and been told that I would have to pay for the screen to be fixed before they will look at the problem with the usb port. I'm feeling that I am held over a barrel for this as the cracked screen is fine you cant even see it unless your looking for it but I would need to pay £100 for a screen then find out the phone is nackerd and prob have to pay more money. This phone is just over a year old and been nothing but problems with memory problems I have a 32gb sd card and transfer as much as I can and still makes no difference to the memory. Its about as much use as a paper weight now!!!!!!!!!

In that case I can unfortunately only suggest that you as well have your device sent to an authorized service centre.
